Responsible Gaming

Responsible Gaming

Gambling responsibly is SG8’s top priority. Millions of players around the world enjoy remote gambling as a legitimate form of entertainment. Most players find remote gambling to be a pleasant experience, however, a small percentage of players may have a problem with gambling taking over their life and finances. In order to be socially responsible, we must care about our customers and take a proactive approach to community issues. Because of this, SG8 adheres rigidly to the following policies and is dedicated to our enforcement:

.

Limiting Minors’ and Unqualified Players’ Access

.

To confirm that they are at least 21 years old, of legal age in their particular jurisdiction, and eligible to participate in remote gaming, SG8 asks new players to go through a KYC process. If we suspect a fraudulent declaration or that minors are seeking to use our services, we will take additional, reasonable steps to investigate this. In this regard, we reserve the right to suspend an account and ask the player for identification and evidence of age in order to confirm compliance with this policy if we have such a strong suspicion. Additionally, we make sure that none of our advertising, sponsoring, or promotional efforts are directed toward children or any other unqualified gamers.

.

Anyone under the age of 21 or ineligible gamers are not permitted to use our services, according to SG8. The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), which oversees and issues licenses for our business, has established rules and regulations that this policy fully complies with and goes above.

.

Feeling a sense of emptiness or loss when you’re not gambling? Borrowing money, selling things, committing (or considering committing) criminal acts to obtain money for gambling? Your feelings will only get worse if you ignore them. They will eventually start to impact not just you, but also your family and friends. Before you become addicted to gambling, pay attention to how it makes you feel and be aware of the warning signals.

.

Be wary of these signs of addiction/toxic behavior towards gaming:

  1. Feeling remorseful, nervous, annoyed, or concerned about your gaming.
  2. Having more frequent thoughts or conversations about gambling.
  3. Gambling to recover lost funds or believing a “huge win” is just around the corner.
  4. Tremendous highs after victories and extreme lows after losses
  5. Having trouble controlling your gambling, feeling irritable when you try to stop, or both
  6. Accumulating more debt due to your gaming, having delinquent payments, or experiencing other financial difficulties.
  7. Gambling as a means of dealing with personal issues or as a means of coping with worry, despair, anger, or loneliness.
  8. Gaming instead of going to social or family gatherings, or skipping out on chores around the house or family because of gambling.

.

With that said, here are several tactics you can take to play safely while having a good time.

  1. When you’re agitated or under pressure, avoid gambling.
  2. Avoid drinking too much while you’re gaming.
  3. Before you place a wager, familiarize yourself with the game’s mechanics.
  4. Set spending and time restrictions. To help you keep an eye on your play, many slot machines, mobile apps, and online gambling sites offer features.
  5. Take regular breaks to stretch, get some fresh air, eat, and drink coffee.
  6. Never borrow money to gamble with, and never utilize funds meant for essentials like rent or food.
  7. Don’t make an effort to regain what you’ve lost.
  8. Don’t think of gambling as an opportunity to earn money for a vacation, to pay bills, or to pay off debt because it is not a way to make money.
  9. Stop playing if you aren’t having fun any longer.
